Seals, not whales

‘Nother day, same place, different waters. We were able to cruise very close to the cliffline from North Head to Blue Fish Point and around the corner. It’s left a smile. Coming across one, no make that two, seals just lolling in the surge off North Head. A third further on. Being with the surge.

Getting close enough to explore gauntlets. Stephen going in behind the rocks and discovering he could come out further round. Following his lead.  Under towering sandstone cliffs.

Sitting by undercut rock to hear the air whoosh and watch the spray get forced out after the swell filled the cavity. The flocks of gulls were there again, so too the albatross.
With the cold wind and grey sky it could have been so easy to head for coffee rather than venture out on the water. So glad we didn’t.
