Wind Horses

Stop under Tibetan prayer flags, listen to the wind flapping and
you’ll hear the mantras being carried away…

…across the hazy air of the city…

…through the clear air of passes high in the Himalaya…
…at entrances high on ridge lines…

…outside monasteries…

…close to village water supplies…

…guarding passes at 3,530 metres…

…protecting swing bridges over glacial fed rivers…

…viewed from hotel room…
…in snow-covered valleys…

…within view of Everest…

…above long glaciers…

…even as they age and fade…

…sink back into the landscape…

…they spread goodwill and compassion…

“The silent prayers are blessings spoken on the breath of nature.

Just as a drop of water can permeate the ocean,
prayers dissolved in the wind extend to fill all of space”.
